The Buckboard Days Parade kicks off bright and early in Rowland Heights, drawing crowds from across the community to line Colima Road for a morning full of excitement and hometown pride. The parade typically begins at 9:00 AM on the third Saturday of October in Rowland Heights, starting at Nogales Street and traveling east down Colima before turning onto Banida Avenue, and ending at Rowland Heights Park. Parade-goers can expect a vibrant display of marching bands, equestrian teams, classic cars, community organizations, and school groups, along with special appearances by local leaders, law enforcement, and beloved mascots. The event is designed for all ages and captures the spirit and diversity of Rowland Heights.

Once the parade concludes, the celebration continues at Rowland Heights Park with the Buckboard Festival, hosted by LA County Parks & Recreation. The festival features live music, food vendors, games, local business booths, and performances by youth groups and entertainers. Families can enjoy the day picnicking on the grass, visiting activity booths, or letting kids explore the bounce houses and attractions. With support from community volunteers, sponsors, and LA County, the entire day is a fun-filled experience that highlights the cultural richness and strong civic pride of Rowland Heights.
